so my friend and I had been driving around+ (walking to feel what it is like) Newtown area in Wellington
and found out most of the side streets are quite dark to walk around.
Especially where there are lots of bars.
I've found out where there is McDonalds (24 hour stores) it is quite bright and safer to walk around.
for example Adelaide road but the side streets just across 24 hour stores looked really dark because most of them were industry building therefore it closes before 10pm normally.
It was better to walk around the main road more than walking on the shortcut way at night.
